Why Pursuit Exists
Pursuit was built from both sides of care. As a physiotherapist and as a patient.
For years, I lived with debilitating back pain and no diagnosis. I saw multiple providers but found no clear answer and conflicting opinions.
Private testing, endless searching, until I finally found the right expert myself.
For someone whose life revolves around sport and the outdoors, the fear of never running or competing again was devastating. I did not know if I would ever get back to the life I loved.
The right diagnosis and treatment changed everything.
Within six months, I was back to weight training, running, and competing at an elite level in cycling. Activities I had not been able to do for years.
This work is deeply personal to me.
Many people spend far too long without access to the right expert.
Pursuit was created so people can get to the right professional faster, reduce unnecessary stress, and receive expert guidance they can trust.
Over 20 years, I have treated tens of thousands of patients, taught and mentored at the University of British Columbia and the University of Amsterdam,
and worked with teams and athletes across multiple sports.
I am a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists (FCAMPT), a designation that requires an additional five years of rigorous testing and study beyond my Masters in Physiotherapy. It qualifies me to perform joint manipulations and mobilizations, techniques that are highly regulated and reserved only for those with this credential.
Hands on care you can trust.
In 2014 I completed my dry needling certification (GCIMS), and it has become a fundamental part of how I treat many conditions. It is effective for muscle strains, sprains, chronic pain syndromes, postural tension, whiplash, and disc and tendon injuries.
I also compete at an elite level in road cycling and running. That experience gives me a perspective beyond the clinical.
I understand the frustration of losing confidence in your body and your identity, the fear of future setbacks or having to live in pain, and the drive to come back stronger.
The Standard in Care
Healthcare should be easy to access, credible, and give people confidence in their plan.
Pursuit delivers this.
